Director of IT & Security

 
  Job Summary:

Provide leadership, vision, strategic planning, project management and oversight for the development and implementation of information technology (IT) initiatives that improve cost effectiveness, service quality and business development in a continuous competitive marketplace. This individual will be instrumental in planning and implementing enterprise information systems to support both business operations and manufacturing personnel while simultaneously deploying and supporting a more cost beneficial and reliable enterprise-wide IT operations.

 

 Job Tasks / Responsibilities

  • Under the leadership of the CEO, establishes and maintains the corporate vision and develops strategic plans identifying Information Technology applications to support business plans or create new strategic initiatives.
  • Provides leadership to key technology initiatives in the areas of ERP and MRP systems, technical infrastructure, business process automation improvement and automation, computer systems validation, and electronic communications.
  • Directs the design, procurement, development and maintenance of systems, programs and systems software to operational goals and objectives that meet the needs of the Company.
  • Oversees the planning and management of the company's telephone system and manages company-wide upgrade efforts including new applications, computer systems, and software packages.
  • Plans and implements additions, deletions and major modifications to the supporting infrastructure company-wide in coordination with corporate leadership.
  • Provides technical acumen and leadership on new technologies and systems to support the future growth and operations of the organization.
  • Maintains knowledge of state of the art technologies including systems and hardware to assure that new developments are incorporated into future IT endeavors.
  • Creates, maintains and enforces relevant written policies and procedures for all technology and computer operations and standards for the company to meet legal requirements.
  • Responsible for specifically addressing network security and controls, anti-virus and anti-malware and electronic communications acceptable use. Maintain security and privacy of the information systems, communication lines, equipment, restricting company access to websites, maintaining virus protection software, and employing other high-tech security measures to safeguard the company’s information.
  • Leads the IT team, creating a culture and work ethic that will maximize efficiency, customer service and performance in the organization; supporting the organization's long-term needs and goals.
  • Develops, administers and controls the Information technology operating and capital budgets to support business goals and objectives contribute to a cost effective operation.
  • Responsible for the procurement, installation and maintenance of all computer hardware and software as well as all other products and supplies necessary to keep systems operable and to fulfill management's requests for technology support.
  • Manages relationships with vendors and suppliers of hardware and software.
  • Formulates departmental policy and procedures and resolves discrepancies; participates in decisions that have major impact on the organization.
  • Oversees the management of corporate help desk activities and resolves escalated issues if necessary.
  • Supervise the ordering, acquisition, inventorying, and disposition of hardware and software
  • Develop, review, and certify all back-up and disaster recovery procedures and plans.

 Required Experience / Education

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar technical degree. Masters degree preferred. Additional Business Administration degree is also a plus.
  • Minimum of 8 - 10 years demonstrated progressive management experience in direct management of managing Information Technology of software development, program and project management, infrastructure services management, IT strategy, and IT architecture. Manufacturing background is a plus.
  • Experience in working directly with business unit leader and their organizations, and in providing IT services to both internal and external clients.
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution with proven skills in budget preparation and monitoring, planning and organizing, management leadership, and relationship building.
  • Broad knowledge of business principles and techniques of administration, organization and management; in addition to, information systems technology subjects and extensive knowledge of hardware and software.
  • Broad relevant technical knowledge of systems design and implementation in a database environment.
  • Broad knowledge of teleprocessing security and communications networks.
  • Broad knowledge of technical and user-related aspects of a personal computer environment.
  • Strong experience implementing and supporting data warehousing and/or business intelligence solutions.
  • Excellent analytical logical problem solving skills with the ability to interpret and apply complex technical information.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and relational skills, good organizational and project skills.
  • Management skills; sound judgment; initiative; flexibility; detail-oriented.

Engineering Director

 
 

Job Summary:

Lead the Core Engineering Teams in the development of Li-ion battery packs for use in vehicle electrification (HEV, PHEV, BEV) and energy storage for stationary/Utility Applications.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Minimum 10 years experience leading core design teams in either ME, Thermal, EE, or SW disciplines.  Cross-functional experience highly desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years program/project management experience with motor vehicle programs (automotive, heavy truck).  HEV, EV experience is highly desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years applications engineering experience in electrical/electronic products with embedded software.  Experience in automotive networks (e.g., CAN) and systems integration is desirable.
  • Experience with high power circuits, e.g., interfacing to inverter circuits or using FET’s and IGBT’s for PWM is highly desirable.
  • Minimum Masters Degree (PhD preferred)  in Electrical Engineering or in Mechanical Engineering with Electrical/Electronics background.
  • Working experience with Quality & Reliability disciplines (FMEA, DFA, DFM, DVP&R, Six-Sigma, APQP, 8D)
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, presentation.
   
   
Cost Analyst  
 

 

Job Summary:

Develop and maintain program cost models and budgets.  Prepare analyses and reports on program spending and projected costs on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. Provide program financial input for all initial quoting and subsequent change management decision events.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Track program variable costs from proposal through launch.
  • Perform variable cost impact analysis of all design, manufacturing process, and material changes.
  • Maintain program P&L statement by integrating fixed and variable costs as well as projected revenues.
  • Develop and maintain program budgets and cost models. 
  • Perform sensitivity analyses for variation of piece cost, tooling costs, fixed costs, labor costs, etc.

 

Required Experience / Education:

 

  • Bachelors Degree (Accounting) preferred, or other accounting disciplines may be considered) from a four-year college or university or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years experience project/program cost accounting for complex manufacturing programs.
  • Automotive Tier I or Tier II program experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a cross functional team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, planning, and the ability to monitor activities according to priority.
